Morants Hall Disabled Riding
School was founded in 1996 by Jacquie and Mike Volf.
The facility is Managed and run by Sandra Knight (BHSAI)
who has over 20 years experience in the equestrian world.
We have two ponies, Freddie and Billy, who's specific
job is social interaction with disabled clients. Their
calm and inquisitive manner is ideal to familiarise
clients to the touch, smell and sounds of horses. |

Once the introductions are
complete, clients have the opportunity to either ride
in our Bennington trap, which is specially adapted for
wheelchairs, and is pulled by Minnie, who has undergone
special training for this purpose, or ride Holy in a
conventional manner.
We have all the available equipment necessary to ensure
a safe riding environment, ranging from Disabled Saddles
to Ramps and Hoists. Safety is of prime importance,
hence a 2 to 1 staffing ratio at all times. We also
ensure that riding is only implemented in good
weather conditions, ensuring an enjoyable experience
for everyone.
